STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Payment Terms:
Advance Payment: A 50% advance payment is required to book the equipment for the desired dates. The remaining 50% must be paid before or at the time of pickup. If the remaining 50% is not paid at the time of pickup, the equipment will not be provided, and the 50% paid amount will be non-refundable. Therefore, 100% advance payment must be made before or at the time of pickup.
Payment for Extension: In case of an extension of the shoot days, pre-payment for the additional rental period must be made before the new shoot date.
2. Service Provision:
Pickup and Drop-off: Clients are responsible for picking up and dropping off the equipment within the committed time limit. Extra charges will apply for delayed returns.
Delivery and Attendant Services: Delivery is available only if a camera attendant is booked, which incurs a separate charge from the rental fee. The availability of the camera attendant is subject to prior arrangement and must be requested at the time of booking.
3. Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation Notice: To ensure a smooth process, cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled shoot date will incur a cancellation fee of 10% of the total billing amount. For cancellations made within 7 days of the shoot date, the fee will be 50% of the total billing amount. This policy helps us manage our scheduling effectively and accommodate other clients.
4. Equipment Condition:
Return Condition: Equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was at the time of pickup. The client is responsible for any damage or loss, and will be charged accordingly. In the event of loss of equipment or accessories, the client will be charged 100% of the equipment’s Manufacturer’s Retail Price (MRP). In case of severe damage that renders the equipment irrepairable, the client will also be charged up to 100% of the equipment’s MRP.
5. Identification:
ID Card Requirement: An original government-issued ID card of the client is required for our service. The original ID card will be retained by Define Store until the equipment is returned.
6. Late Returns:
Late Return Fees: A late return will incur a fee of 50% of the daily rental amount for each day the equipment is overdue.
7. Legal and Compliance:
Jurisdiction: All contractual relations will be governed exclusively by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through court proceedings in the jurisdiction of Ahmedabad, India.
8. Insurance and Liability:
Insurance: We do not provide insurance services. Clients should arrange their own insurance if required. If insurance is available, it must be arranged independently by the client.
Liability: Define Store is not liable for any issues arising from the use of the equipment, including technical errors. Clients should ensure they are familiar with the equipment’s operation.
9. Data Handling:
Data Responsibility: We do not take responsibility for data stored on memory cards. Clients must back up their data before returning the equipment. Extra charges will apply for memory card rentals kept for data backup purposes.
10. Unforeseen Circumstances:
Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to technical errors or other disruptions, Define Store will notify clients as soon as possible. We will endeavor to mitigate the impact but are not liable for any resulting inconvenience or loss.
Notes:
Technical Errors: Specify that while Define Store strives to provide well-maintained equipment, technical issues may occasionally arise. The company will take reasonable steps to address these issues promptly.
Force Majeure: Cover scenarios like natural disasters, strikes, or other events beyond control that may affect the service delivery.
